The song first appeared in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F where it was unlocked by clearing "Time Machine". It was later added to Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone on 23 April 2014. In Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone, "ACUTE" is included in the Future Sound song pack. It is also featured in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA MegaMix, with its PV modified to include the ToonShader graphics, though it has the same rhythm game it has in Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone in Arcade Mode.

This is the first ever Project DIVA song to involve three vocals.
When playing the game on Hard and Extreme difficulty in Project DIVA F, Future Tone, and MegaMix with the PlayStation icons toggled on, the Melody Icons will display corresponding to who is singing: KAITO - blue ✕, Miku - green △, and Luka - pink ◻. This also applies to the duet choruses and the final trio chorus, which feature the singers corresponding Melody Icon. The red ◯ (which is featured regularly in Easy and Normal difficulties) appears during the guitar solo featured in the song's second bridge.
