"Animal Fortune-telling" debuted in Hatsune Miku and Future Stars: Project Mirai where it was unlocked after clearing "Tricolore Airline". The Kagamine Rin, Megurine Luka, and MEIKO versions are unlockable after watching the staff credits and clearing the song again on Normal or Hard difficulty. The song would later be featured again in Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 and Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai DX where it was unlocked after clearing "Deep Sea Girl", with the Rin, Luka, and MEIKO versions being unlocked after clearing the song twice.
