"Catch the Wave" is a Hatsune Miku song written and produced by kz. It also serves as the main theme song of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA MegaMix.

"Catch the Wave" first appeared in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA MegaMix where it is available at the start of the game. It is also featured in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone in the MegaMix Encore Pack and classified as a Colorful Tone song. The ToonShader graphics for its PV were modified to be consistent with other ToonShader PVs in Future Tone.

Trivia[]

  • kz being the composer for the theme song was first teased at in an issue of Famitsu in which game producer Makoto Osaki said that the song was written by producer that's been with the Project DIVA series for ten years.[2]
  • The song's official music video was published to YouTube and Niconico on August 7, 2019. However, it was later privated after it was discovered that the song was only 90% finished. An upload with the finished version of the song was published soon after.[3][4]
