Game appearances

"Far Away" was commissioned by SEGA for the series. The song first appeared in the first Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA game where it is available from the beginning of the game. It was also featured in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade and was also one of the first songs in the initial version of the arcade game as with the other songs previously featured in the first Project DIVA game. When the arcade game was updated to Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone, an Extra Extreme difficulty rhythm game chart for the song was added on 28 August 2014. The song would later be featured in the PlayStation 3 ports Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Dreamy Theater and Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Dreamy Theater 2nd with the exact same rhythm game and PV (albeit with updated high-definition visuals).

In Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone, "Far Away" was included in the Future Sound song pack. The song makes a return in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA MegaMix+ where it is included in the Extra Song Pack. It would also be included in the original Project DIVA MegaMix where it is featured in the Song Pack 14 DLC. Its PV modified in the latter to include the ToonShader graphics, though its rhythm game charts from Project DIVA Arcade remain the same in Arcade Mode.
