Ievan Polkka

"Ievan Polkka" is a song sung by Hatsune Miku based on the Finnish folk song of the same name which is arranged by Otomania. It is the most recurring song used in the Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA series, often being used in the tutorial mode of the games.

Game appearances

The song first appeared in the first Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA where it can be unlocked by clearing "VOC@LOID in Love". The song would later be featured in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Dreamy Theater and Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Dreamy Theater 2nd with the exact same rhythm game although it was given a new PV.

"Ievan Polkka" was also featured in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade and Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone and was also one of the first songs in the initial version of the arcade game as with the other songs previously featured in the first Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA game. When the arcade game was updated to Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone, an Extra Extreme difficulty rhythm game chart for the song was added on 7 April 2016.

From then on, every game in the main series featured this song in their tutorial modes. In addition to the beginner tutorial, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd featured an advanced tutorial titled "Ievan Polkka (Extreme)" which can be unlocked by clearing the Hard difficulty chart on any song.

In Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone, "Ievan Polkka" was included in the Future Sound song pack while its Extra Extreme chart was included in the 1st Additional Song/Encore Pack.
