Live Mode (ライブスタジオ Raibu Sutajio?, lit. Live Studio) is a feature in the Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA series that debuted in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Dreamy Theater Extend. This feature allows players to see characters perform in a concert venue filled with a large audience. These performances are based on various live events.

Function[]

Functionality for Live Mode is limited, with players only having access to changing and moving different cameras. In some games, players will have the ability to switch Modules and even the singers.

Game appearances[]

Live Mode first appeared in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Dreamy Theater Extend. Its stage venue is based off of Tokyo Dome City Hall stage with the audio and choreography from the Saigo no Miku no Hi Kanshasai event. Module selection is limited to what was worn for the songs performed from the aforemetioned event, as well as MIKUNOPOLIS in LOS ANGELES. Selectable songs for this Mode inlcude: "Electric Angel", "StargazeR", "The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku", "Butterfly on Your Right Shoulder", "Just Be Friends", "World's End Dance Hall", "Roshin Yukai", "Solitude's End", "Time Limit", "Puzzle", and "SPiCa". "Two-Sided Lovers" was later added to the list in Dreamy Theater Extend's Ver 1.01 update.

Live Mode's next appearance is in the PlayStation 3 version of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F, available at the start of the game by accessing Studio Mode. The stage venue is based off the DAIBA de DIVA at Joypolis held in 2012. Only Miku and her default outfit can be used in this mode. Selectable songs here include: "The World is Mine", "Miracle Paint", "I'll Miku-Miku You♪ (For Reals)", "1/6 -out of the gravity-", "Weekender Girl", "Time Machine", "Odds & Ends", and "39". The latter 4 songs were later made available as DLC content for the PlayStation Vita version's AR Mode.

Live Mode returns in the PlayStation 3 version of Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd, once again available at the start of the game by accessing Studio Mode. This time, the stage venue is based off of Yokohama Arena, with audio and choreography from the Hatsune Miku Magical Mirai 2013 event. In this game, it is now possible to switch between different characters and Modules for songs. Selectable songs in this game include: "Sweet Devil", "Cat Food", "Hello, Worker", "Erase or Zero", "Piano × Forte × Scandal", "Love-Hate", "Tokyo Teddy Bear", and "glow". Two additional songs, "Tell Your World" and "Odds & Ends", were later made available for this mode as DLC.
