"Matryoshka" first appeared in Hatsune Miku and Future Stars: Project Mirai where it can be unlocked by clearing "Kimi no Taion". Its PV was modified from its original version to include 3D functionality. The song would later be featured again in Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 and Project Mirai DX where it was unlocked after clearing "1925". In Project Mirai DX, the song's 3D PV was replaced with a Nendoroid PV and was also given a SUPER Hard difficulty that can be unlocked by obtaining an S-Rank or higher on the song in Hard difficulty.
