Melancholy (メランコリー Merankorī?) is a Module for Kagamine Rin.
Description[]
The Module's attire consists of a lime green hoodie sweater with a small pink heart-shaped skull and cross-bone design on the back, a white shirt with light blue trimming, a coral pink skirt, and white and fuchsia converse-like sneakers.
In Project DIVA, the Module was refined to include other accessories: a brown pochette hanging held on Rin's left shoulder, black headphones with pink and lime green designs around her neck, a red and lime green wristwatch on her right wrist, added white frills to the skirt, animal accessories (a pink rabbit and peach bear) attached on with a brick red and white striped ribbon-like belt by the left hip, and a black necklace with a pink heart charm. Additionally, her hair and bow become slightly shorter, her hair clips form an 'X' on her left bangs, and a large portion of her bangs are tucked into her left hair fringe while a small portion of them are tucked into her right fringe.

The Module first appeared in Hatsune Miku and Future Stars: Project Mirai where it can be unlocked after watching the PV for "Melancholic" and can be bought for 5000 Mirai Points. It is also featured in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F where it is unlocked after clearing the aforementioned song on any difficulty and can be bought for 20000 DIVA Points. The Module returned in Hatsune Miku: Project Mirai 2 and Project Mirai DX where it can be unlocked by once again clearing "Melancholic" on any difficulty and can be bought for 5000 Mirai Points in Project Mirai 2 and 3000 Mirai Points in Project Mirai DX. Melancholy appears again in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone where it was added to the game on 15 January 2014 and can be bought for 250 VP.
The Module was featured once again in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd where it can be unlocked after clearing "Colorful × Melody" on Hard difficulty and can be bought for 7000 DIVA Points (or if the Module is already obtained in Project DIVA F, it can be imported over to Project DIVA F 2nd without any cost). It also returned in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X where it can be randomly unlocked by clearing the Chance Time on any song in Cloud Requests and fully clearing the song. It is attributed with the Aura Cute, gives a +20% Voltage bonus when used in a song attributed with the same Aura, and its gameplay effect is "100-Combo Rate Up Lv. 2". In Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone, the Module is included in the Future Sound song pack and can be bought for 750 VP. It is also featured in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA MegaMix, with its appearance modified to include the ToonShader graphics.
