"Step Forward" (ステップフォワード, Suteppu Fowādo^?) is a Hatsune Miku song written by Ena-Yuzuru and composed by Chesa.

Game appearances[]

"Step Forward" was part of the second batch of confirmed songs for Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade following the game's fourth song recruitment period that was held between 6 March 2013 and 6 May 2013 (the announcement was made before the Future Tone update).^[1] Afterwards, a sixth PV submission contest was held by SEGA where players used the Edit Mode feature of Project DIVA F to create a video featuring the song and submit it online to Niconico. The submission contest ran from 22 October to 10 December 2013, with SEGA announcing the winning PV to be used for the arcade game on 23 January 2014.^[2]^[3] The song was publicly added to Arcade Future Tone on 5 November 2014.

In Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone, "Step Forward" was included in the Colorful Tone song pack. The song makes a return in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA MegaMix+ where it is included in the Extra Song Pack. It would also be included in the original Project DIVA MegaMix where it is featured in the Song Pack 15 DLC. Its PV modified in the latter to include the ToonShader graphics, though its rhythm game charts from Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone remain the same in Arcade Mode.
