Tako Luka (たこルカ Tako Ruka?) is a character in the Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA series. She is a derivative character based on Megurine Luka which has been officially recognised by SEGA and Crypton Future Media and has been licensed into the games.
Appearance[]
Tako Luka's appearance is that of a deformed version of Megurine Luka's head, including dot eyes and rosy cheeks. The most defining feature of Tako Luka is her long hair, in which the bottom eight strands also function as tentacles. She also wears headphones similar to Luka's.
Background[]
Tako Luka was created by Sangatsu Youka after Luka's hair allegedly reminded the illustrator of an octopus. Tako Luka's creation occurred during the Character Item War for Megurine Luka following her announcement and launch and the Derivative also marked the end of said war.
Game appearances[]
Tako Luka makes minor appearances in the game series such as their opening videos and even in some of the song PVs. Her most notable appearances in PVs include "Double Lariat" and "Luka Luka ★ Night Fever", where she can be seen all over the stage while Luka performs and then waves to the player when the song ends. Beginning with Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F, she has cameos as a Head Accessory. Tako Luka also makes numerous cameos as a Room Item that the player can place in a character's DIVA Room.
