"The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku" (初音ミクの消失 Hatsune Miku no Shōshitsu?) is a Hatsune Miku song composed, written and arranged by cosMo@BousouP.

Game appearances[]

"The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku" first appeared in the first Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA where it can be unlocked by clearing "Electric Angel". It was also featured in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade and was also one of the first songs in the initial version of the arcade game as with the other songs previously featured in the first Project DIVA game. When the arcade game was updated to Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone, an Extra Extreme difficulty rhythm game chart for the song was added on 27 November 2014. The song would later be featured in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Dreamy Theater with the exact same rhythm game from the first Project DIVA game, although it uses the PV from Project DIVA Arcade.

"The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku" returned in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA 2nd and Dreamy Theater 2nd as a DLC song that can be purchased from the PlayStation Store. It featured the same PV it had in Project DIVA Arcade and Dreamy Theater. The song was featured later in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Extend and Dreamy Theater Extend where it can be unlocked by clearing "Requiem for the Phantasma". It had the exact same PV and rhythm game it had in Project DIVA 2nd.

The song also made an appearance in Miku Flick where it was available at the start of the game, as well as Miku Flick/02, where it was purchasable in the "MikuFlick_Pack 04" DLC. A new arrangement of the song was later featured as part of "Ending Medley - Ultimate Exquisite Rampage" in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X. In Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Future Tone, "The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku" was included in the Future Sound song pack. It is also featured in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA MegaMix, with its PV modified to include the ToonShader graphics, though its rhythm game charts from Project DIVA Arcade remain the same in Arcade Mode.

Lyrics[]

「VOCALOID」

「VOCALOID」

「VOCALOID」

Trivia[]

  • The Hard chart for this song is one of the two charts in the first Project DIVA game to exceed the normal 5-star rating, the other being the Hard chart for "Requiem for the Phantasma".
  • In "Ending Medley - Ultimate Exquisite Rampage", "The Disappearance of Hatsune Miku" was the only song in the medley not to have appeared in a Western-localized game in the Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA series prior to Project DIVA Future Tone.
  • This is the first song to have Chance Time at the beginning of the song (albeit only in Project DIVA 2nd and Extend on Extreme difficulty). The second song to do the same is "Kagerou Daze".
