The Accessory consists of a gold-coated, double-headed mainspring that spins.

The Accessory first appeared in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F where it is unlocked after cleaing "Ashes to Ashes on Hard difficulty and can be bought for 20000 DIVA Points. It is also featured in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA F 2nd where it can be unlocked by clearing 130 songs and can be bought for 3500 DIVA Points (or if the Accessory is already obtained in Project DIVA F, it can be imported over to Project DIVA F 2nd at no cost). The Accessory was featured once again in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade Future Tone where it was added to the game on 22 July 2015 and can be bought for 150 VP.
Wind-Up Key was featured once again in Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA X where it can be obtained as a random drop after clearing a song in Cloud Requests. It is attributed with the Aura Quirky and gives a +5% Voltage bonus when used in a song attributed with the same Aura. It will also give various Voltage bonuses when paired with other specific Accessories:
